Dahlia Tuber Terms of Service

DAHLIA GUARANTEE: We appreciate your support and want you to be happy with your purchase. Each listing is for one (1) tuber. All dahlia tubers sold by us were grown on our farm and our tubers and fields are inspected and approved by the Oregon Department of Agriculture and we are a licensed Oregon nursery.

DAHLIA VIRUS POLICY: Our tubers and fields are inspected and approved by the Oregon Department of Agriculture. We cull and toss any suspicious plants during the growing season, sanitize between plants and utilize organic methods of pest control. By purchasing you accept that dahlias are susceptible to virus, which can be in your current soil or transferred from pests within you area, and virus is not 100% avoidable.

DAHLIA TUBER SHIPPING: All orders are shipped using USPS priority mail. We can only ship within the USA (lower 48 states). Tuber(s) will ship in spring once freezing temperatures are passed in your region. Shipping is a flat $15 no matter how many tubers you purchase. Our shipping charge includes postage via priority mail, as well as supplies and labor for the shipping process. We are unable to provide just weight based shipping. If you place an order and wish to place another order and combine shipping, please send us an email at hello@phloraflowerfarm.com with your original order number and we can give you a discount for combined shipping.

LIMITS: We are limit certain popular varieties to ensure more people are able to enjoy them. This means a limit PER household, not per person. If we suspect that you are using family members, friends or other means to get around this limit, all your orders will be subject to cancellation and a full refund.

DAHLIA TUBER PICK UP: Pick up date will be Saturday, April 26th (subject to change). We anticipate the pick up time to be between 11am - 2pm. If you are unable to make this date/time, please choose shipping as your option. CART: Your order is only confirmed once you checkout and receive an order confirmation number and email.

SUBSTITUTIONS: We do not offer substitutions due to stock loss. If something unexpected happens with storage between your order and shipping, we will refund you the price of the tuber(s). Loss of tubers during storage is common for certain varieties. We undersell our stock of tubers by 50%. However, it is possible that between the time you purchase and the time we begin shipping, tubers may rot in our storage. If that happens, we will notify you and refund the purchase price of the tuber that is no longer available. If you ordered other varieties, they will ship as expected. If you did not order any other varieties, your shipping fee will also be refunded.

PAYMENT OPTIONS: We accept all major credit cards (via Stripe) as well as Apple Pay.

VARIETIES THAT CARRY TRADEMARKS: We carry certain varieties that have a trademark attached to the name. As a flower farmer, this means that we have signed a license agreement where we remit a % of every sale of those varieties back to the hybridizer to compensate them for the years of work they did in creating those varieties. What does this mean for you as a customer?

  • If you grow as a hobby, a gardener, and trade or give away your extra tubers or cuttings or sell cut flowers, nothing has changed for you. Keep doing whatever you’ve been doing.

  • If you want to sell tubers and/or cuttings of varieties that carry a trademark, you will need a license from the hybridizer that is easy to apply for, no matter how few or many you want to grow. We have found that there is some online misinformation about the trademarks and we encourage everyone interested to read the actual information directly at the hybridizer’s website which you can find here.
